PISA provides a variety of contour plots of displacements, stresses, strains and pore pressure. Contour plots provide an overall examination of the stress/strain state in the structure which makes the identification of regions of stress concentration easier.
Once a plot has been created, or an existing plot has been opened, the contour dialog box will appear to allow input of parameters. PISA provides various types of contour plots of displacements, stress, strain and pore pressure contours. Contour intervals can be automatically determined by the program or specified by the user. The total values of a quantity, such as shear stress or pore pressure, can be plotted, or the difference in values between two steps can be plotted to examine incremental changes.
